WHO WE ARE
NATE BOUTIN, PE
My love for building started at 12, when I began working for a cabinet maker after school. From that point through college, I worked for general contractors to landscapers, each step of the way learning the right way to build. I went on to get my Masters in Engineering from MIT, though my passion for building continued. Outside of my 15-year professional structural engineering career, I have never stopped building and designing for my family, friends, and many others.I created Maple Homes & Design to have full ownership over the design and build process. By combining my collective life experience with my passion for building right, I get to share the process with customers and skilled workers who hold the same values.I love creating a space by taking all parts and pieces, feeling through an assemblage of materials, and putting them together in a way that evokes a feeling. My favorite part of the process is looking at the plans and then future casting the vision of the final build, imagining the experience for a homeowner. I never want to lose the sense of wonder and reverence for designing and building to stand the test of time. I believe how you do anything is how you do everything.
DESIGN
Construction and engineering are the backbone of my experience. I have also spent decades working with designers, architects, and on my own learning how to understand and create beautiful exteriors and interiors.Whether I am leading a project team or on my own, blending these skill sets creates a unique style that is rooted in functionality and intelligent use of space.
